David F. Carron, DVM (MSU-1977, BS-1974) Dr. Carron is the owner of the Plaza Veterinary Hospital. He began working at the hospital in 1979, developed a partnership with Dr. Richardson, and became full owner in 1998.
Dr. Carron is a Past-President of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. He has also been very active in and is a Past-President of the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Carron is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. He has belonged to community service clubs and has served on the City of Farmington's Warner Mansion Committee. He has received several service awards.
Other activities include being a long standing member of the Veterinary Hospital Manager's Association, and participation by invitation in the annual "Well-Managed Practice" study performed by a nationally recognized veterinary accounting firm.
He resides in Farmington with his wife and assorted pets. These pets include dogs, cats, fish, and a bird. His daughter graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at MSU in 2006!
Christian M. Ast, DVM (MSU 2002)
Dr. Ast joined our staff in 2002 as an associate veterinarian. He is a member of the American Animal Hospital
Asssociation, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr.Ast was President of the 2002 graduating class of veterinarians at Michigan State University.
Dr. Ast is also a Past-President of the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.
During his spare time, you may find Dr. Ast wandering the aisles of Home Depot, as he enjoys working on home improvement projects. He is married with a son and daughter along with one kitty at home.
